They had been summoned and so they had come. All manner of creatures, they walked, flew, and slithered into Fandom, intent on wreaking havoc.

Today, the residents of this tiny island need beware not only of the dead, but of the very much alive.

Near the Junk Yard

Jaina had spent some time in a healing trace last night after her run-in with the ghost, hving a pretty good feeling she was going to need to be at full strength. Not that she wanted to run into another one of them today. Then once Hades made his announcement, she was sorry to be right and decided to head out and see what she could do.

She was trying really hard not to think about the fact that she couldn't get a sense of John on the island after that voicemail. It could mean a lot of things.

The trudging noise behind the girl could mean a lot of things.

In this case, it meant that the cyclops was hungry, and curious as to what little girls tasted like.

They had to taste better than all the scrap metal lying around.

Trudging was definitely better than last night, and when Jaina turned to see what exactly was behind her, she said, "You're really unlucky it's my turn for the bad weekend."

The cyclops roared, knocking a pile of scrap metal aside with the back of his hand. He stomped closer, sniffing the air. She smelled like meat.

He was having a bad weekend, himself, but was sure it was about to get much better. He swiped for her with one of his enormous hands.

Using the Force for an extra push, she threw herself into a backflip out of his way, lightsaber in her hand and ignited before she'd even landed. Not that she had practice doing that or anything.

Taking another couple steps back, she was sort of sorry she probably wouldn't be able to reason with it.

He missed? Damn little girls and their speed. The cyclops roared again, enraged. And now the girl had a glowy stick.

The cyclops had never seen a weapon like that one.He grabbed something from the top of the scrap pile - it sort of looked like it might have once been a car door, though he wouldn't know what that was, either.

He swung his newfound weapon at the girl's, to see what the glowy stick did.

What the glowy stick did was slice the car door in two when Jaina brought her weapon up to cut through it faster. Once she'd done that, she brought her lightsaber into a more defensive position, giving the cyclops the chance to realize that this thing could seriously hurt him.

The cyclops stared for a few moments. The wheels were turning ...

Her glowy stick had cut through his metal-thing. That wasn't supposed to happen. What sort of thing was that?

Frustrated, he tossed aside what was left of his car door, and waited to see what the girl would do next.

Stupid glowy stick.

Strictly speaking, Jaina wasn't supposed to just up and kill him, not if he wasn't trying to hurt her, and provoking him to do so was probably a really bad kind of cheating. She lowered her weapon slightly, asking, "Don't suppose you'd be willing to switch sides or anything, would you?"

The cyclops stood in silence for a few moments, perhaps considering her words, contemplating his life of mindless violence, what it might be like for him on the other side.

Probably not, though. Because then he balled up his fist and tried to punch the meat-girl.

Okay, that solved that moral dilemma. Of course, her current positioning meant that when she raised her lightsaber to defend herself she stood a very good chance of taking off his hand.

The lightsaber cut through skin and bone as easily as it had the car door, and the cyclops screamed as the useless hand thudded to the ground.

Now he was pissed. He picked up the biggest thing in reach -- a leftover hull piece from what might have been a spaceship -- and hurled it at the girl's head.

And now the fight really started. Jaina dove for the ground in order to miss out on the fun of getting concussed, then bounced back up to her feet to move forward, thrusting her lightsaber forward. She sort of hoped a poke might serve as a warning to give up so she didn't have to make things worse.

The cyclops moved back, but too slowly to miss the poken and the lightsaber sizzled against his skin. He picked up what was left of the car door and waved it towards her, roaring and trying to look intimidating.

See? He was big and scary and the meat-girl should run away now! Before she cut off any more of his limbs!

In Jaina's mind, if he didn't go around roaring and looking intimidating, she wouldn't need to cut off any more limbs.

"Go home!" she tried.

The cyclops roared again, waving the car door.

Maybe he was going! Over here! He was totally headed over here, to the other end of the junk yard! And she'd better not stop him, as he got the hell away from her!
