All around town, all through the day

They had been summoned and so they had come. All manner of creatures, they walked, flew, and slithered into Fandom, intent on wreaking havoc.

Today, the residents of this tiny island need beware not only of the dead, but of the very much alive.

Outside the Arms Hotel

Upon hearing Hades' announcement, Murdock decided that probably wasn't a good thing. Grabbing his rifle and pistol, he headed out, figuring there had to be something he could do to help.

There was something big, angry and mean charging at Murdock as soon as he stated walking.

Uh-oh. Murdock ducked and rolled out of the way. He landed in a crouch and stared at the thing. "What the heck are you supposed to be?"

The minotaur growled and changed direction, swinging his axe at Murdock's leg, intending to just break them.

Murdock rolled again, the axe catching a leg just enough to trip him up. "Ow."

He scrambled quickly to his feet, pulling his pistol as he did so.

The minotaur lowered his head and charged at Murdock.

Murdock didn't need any further reason to fire off a couple of rounds at the thing. He hoped the creature would drop or at the very least, slow down.

The minotaur slowed enough to growl in annoyance before standing up and glaring at Murdock. Its nostrils flared before he just threw his axe at Murdock's legs.

Crap! Murdock attempted to dodge the axe, but it was bit close to maneuver against effectively. It caught him across a knee and Murdock went sprawling on the ground. "Alright, sucker," he growled as he sat up, "No more games." He quickly unshouldered his rifle and squeezed off several shots.

The bullets struck the minotaur but he just growled angrily, stomping around in an irritated huff. Then, he scraped a hoof across the ground and charged at Murdock.

Doesn't this thing give up? Murdock quickly regained his feet and, if limping somewhat, headed towards the nearest tree. It might give him some measure of cover. He hoped.

The minotaur came charging towards Murdock and whipped his tail around the tree.

Spotting the tail rushing towards him, Murdock ducked once more. Seems it was time for plan B. He grabbed a branch and quickly hauled himself up into the tree. Hopefully the thing wouldn't be able to climb after him.

The minotaur didn't even try. He just started chopping the tree down with his axe.

This was not good. Really not good. Securing both the rifle and the pistol, Murdock waited a few minutes to make sure the creature was fully occupied with its tree chopping.

Gathering all his strength, he launched himself out of the branches. Landing on the opposite side away from the minotaur, the tree between the two of them. Then he ran as fast as he could.
