Barney facepalmed at Ron, "Kid, I think we need to have a talk about the trees." He then proceeded to pour himself another finger of scotch. What? Like they were dragging him to a graveyard without fresh liquor?
There was a witch holding hands with her daughter. As she got to the graveyard she was giving motherly advice of her own.
"...now spells can be very useful but you should probably let me do those because Daddy gets all weird about magic. Oh! And, uh, magic can be very dangerous and we have to be careful and it's probably for grownups even though Mommy started when she was still in high school and it's a tiny bit silly for people to suggest that doesn't come in handy in a world where followers of someone with warm weather issues could possibly try to cause trouble, and this doesn't even get into the knee-jerk stereotyping that, if she were alive, would totally make me want to kick her in the shin since thanks a lot but - uh - just stick close, okay? And don't lose your stake. There's a sweetie."
"Hi!" Willow said with a wave. She liked the 'Auntie' part. She could live with Auntie. It meant less time later trying to figure out the math of timelines and ratios of snuggling vs. cranky days out of the month. "Which one are you?"
Hey, Bridge might not be all that tall, but he's more than *slightly* taller than a five-year-old, thank you. A five year old who he's not letting go of, just in case she he wanders off and gets lost. "I think maybe one of the streets got mixed up," he observes.
