Briefly before addressing his audience, which he was quite certain was just ready for a riveting and inspiring display of valor and honour, Minsc wrung his hands worriedly in front of him. He was worried; he knew there had been another speech about being a defender of good and still being a mercenary, and so he was nervous, and muttering to the hamster in his hands. And then, finally, drawing in a strengthening, steeling breath, he said, "Right, Boo! We can do this! Up you go."

He set the hamster on his shoulder and stood before his audience. The hamster immediately crawled up the side of Minsc's bald head, settling calmly right on top of the purple swirls of tattoos. "Buttkicking!" he announced, importantly, boldly. "For Goodness! This, my friends, is what I am here to talk to you about today! Camaraderie, adventure, and steel on steel. The stuff of legend! Right, Boo?" The hamster on his head squeaked, and he grinned up for a moment before looking back to the group, "You are here, nae? So you must have an interest in ( ... )

Buttkicking for Goodness -- Example One. berserkerminsc February 2 2008, 20:16:35 UTC
"Now," Minsc said, sheathing his sword and looking at the sliced table. "This is a workshop, and so I will present to you all a few examples and want you to tell me, what the proper thing to do would be for goodness."

"My first example: You have just rolled into a small town, and you are searching the area for information. One man you talk to asks you for your help. He must rescue a damsel in distress from a gnoll stronghold. You, being smart and wanting to think about it, tell him...err, that you'll think about it. You then meet another man, who also beseeches your help in killing a woman he claims to be a vile sorceress who is recently being held at a nearby gnoll stronghold. What should you do? How do you determine which way a buttkicker for goodness should go? Discuss!"

"Hey, it's Weasel again," Weasel said, now with slightly more confidence. "Uh, I shot a gun at a guy, once. He died, but he was a clone, so it didn't really matter in the end." He paused, shooting an apologetic look at one of the pannelists. "...Although I think he's dead now. I've spent most of my life working as tech expert to the mercenary Deadpool, and while I don't really have hands-on weapons experience, I've designed, purchased, or, uh, stolen absolutely every piece of equipment he's ever worked with."

Another pause. "Call me if you need anything special. Especially if you're a hot chick."

"Deadpool again! And..." He looked down at his costume. And all the weapons there hidden on him.

And not so hidden.

"Well, if it can kill people, I probably know how to use it. Just takes a weeeee bit of practice and some real life experience with the fun, wonderful, Weasel why didn't you bring your buddy new ones...? weaponry."

"Yo!" Reno grinned and waved a hand at the audience. "I'm Reno. Of the Turks. And if you don't know what a Turk is? I'm not explaining, yoto." He crossed his arms and slouched forward so very casually. "To be honest, I got plenty of experience doing shit that'll drive anyone to drinking, yo. But guilt doesn't have a place in this line of work. So really, I signed up for this panel just because it had 'booze' in the title, yo."

"Hi!"

There was a warm, enthusiastic wave from the long-haired blond swordsman in the blue armor.

"My name's Gourry Gabriev," he introduced himself with a broad smile, "and I'm here mostly cause the title mentioned booze!"

He realized after a minute that that probably didn't sound good.

"That said!" he pointed out with a finger raised, "Ethics are important! Like... if you kill a bandit and steal their stuff, does it count? Or or or how responsible are you for the actions of the other people in your group? And magic-users and demons. That kind of things."
