Doom was prepared for the NFL's Championship Sunday. That is, he was ignoring it completely and might shoot anyone who talked to him about sports with magic fire. Apu, meanwhile, made sure there was a nice display with chips and dip and drinks

Sky wasn't very anxious to wander into Turtle & Canary on a day where Dr. Doom was working, as Doom's very appearance scared him, but his Grape Judas craving could not be denied. Even though he could quit. Any time he wanted. He was just in the mood for one, that was all.

"Ah, good afternoon, scowling sir!" Apu greeted him cheerfully. "You are here for your usual Grape Judas, yes?"

" 'Scowling sir'?" Sky repeated, not realizing he had been doing so, and forcing a smile instead. "Uh, yes please, Apu and Bob."

"One medium Grape Judas!" Apu handed Sky the precious treat, and Sky paid him, thanking Apu and walking out to the usual "Thank you, come again!" ringing in his ears.

Though Rikku's theft had spoiled some of his fun, Frank found one last check he thought he might be able to float for an extra couple hundred. "Hey," he greeted the ... entirely disconcerting costumed guy behind the counter. "Can you cash checks here? I'm in a bind."

"There's a bank on the island if you wish to cash a check. If you wish to use a check here, you must purchase something," Doom said. Doom didn't know if this was the actual policy. He also didn't care if it was the actual policy. He gained nothing from being helpful.
