Even with all the weirdness of the previous week, the plague and then the time shifting stuff, Cassandra had made a commitment Fina so she wasn't going to miss her shift. In a way, she was sort of looking forward to it. It gave her something to do, after all.
She snagged the specials board and took it back to the kitchen with her when she arrived. Then she got into a long discussion about her proposed special for the day. It wasn't that they couldn't do it, of course (this was Fina, after all), but that it was so... plebeian. It was a simple idea, but lacked any sort of understated elegance. Still, in the end, they had to admit that Cassandra's idea was at least a very tasty choice, and that won them over
