Katara was almost completely unconscious in a cot but the Town Hall's makeshift hospital was ticking over like a well-oiled machine. Even as volunteers and doctors grew more and more tired, their dedication still won out as each patient was tended to carefully.

"They've found a possible cure," Fraser told her quietly, nodding at the mug of tea. "It needs to be tested before we start administrating it to the population at large."

"Hand it over," she said, taking the mug. After a deep breath, she took a sip, and immediately made a face. "Oh, that's vile. Would it have killed you to put a little sugar in?" Nevertheless, she took another small sip, and waited.
It took a few minutes, but she started to feel better, and she didn't feel like she had to cough at all. Handing the mug back to Fraser, she pulled up her sleeve, and saw that her rash was starting to fade away. "Well, I'll be damned."
