Isabel made time to stop by the Perk before heading out to dinner with Parker and River.

"So do you only remember to use the phone when you get back on the island?" she asked.

"What are phones again?" Angel replied, looking innocent.

Isabel smirked. "A new-fangled invention an old geezer like you will never understand. I bet you're still using carrier pigeons."

"Tools of Satan," Angel immediately replied.

"I'm sure. All that cooing must get annoying."

She pulled up a chair and smiled. "So how the hell are you?"

"Haven't been there in a while," Angel said, by way of an answer.

"Good. It's way overrated as a vacation spot," Isabel replied, rolling her eyes. "You should really consider the mountains. Or maybe Vegas."

"That's gonna be the bachelor party," Angel said.

"I'll start making arrangements for bail money." Because there was just no way they weren't going to need it.

"I'm not surprised," she sighed. "I'll just start working on a story for my folks. Because bail money? Not words they want to hear from their daughter."

"So how's life treating you these days? Did you have fun with Parker in town?"

Isabel snickered. "Actually she hasn't told me much. We're having dinner in just a bit. I'm sure I'll get the full story then."

"So when she grumbles about you lurking about that hotel you call a home and not going out and being social, I should just assume instead that you're out clubbing and fending off the starlets nightly?" she asked innocently.
