Angel had been reluctant to dance becamse OMG leave Logan in Neptune. But he did want to see his friends as well. So he'd compromised by skipping the first night of Homecoming and showing up for the second.

After spending the day at the market, John wandered in and spotted Angel.

"Hey, ugly!" Trying out new greetings was fun.

"Something like that," Angel said. He rubbed his eyes tiredly. "It's a thing with his inheritance and... everything."

Angel hadn't really understood a lot of the details beyond "No, you can't rip the ankle monitor off and grab a portal back to LA."
