Cher wasn't behind the counter much today. No, she was looking through appropriate homecomingwear. It was her first real social event here. She didn't want a date, because that would put forth the wrong image that she needed one, but still, she felt obligated to look her absolute best. Ino, having nothing planned for the day, wandered into to Pixie Dust - because, hey, shopping was a perfectly good way to spend a day - and Homecoming, which involved a dance as far as Ino understood it, was a perfectly acceptable excuse.

From where she was standing by one of the racks, Cher looked up when she heard the door open and waved, "Hi, Ino! Welcome back!"

"A dress for Homecoming," Ino said with a shrug that had her wincing slightly, and grinned ruefully, "even though I'm not quite sure what Homecoming involves other than a dance."

"That's the main part of it. There's dancing, and homecoming court, and a ton of mingling. It's actually a lot of fun if you don't slap yourself into a corner and call it a night," Cher said. "Did you have anything in particular in mind?"

"Something shortish, maybe? Not too short you know, but not full length either." Ino looked amused, "Why would someone bother going if they aren't going to mingle?"

"I think usually to whine about how much it sucked," said Cher looking through the dresses and picking out one or two. "It's a lame practice. If you're not going to try, don't ruin it for everyone else, you know?"

"With some Photoshop recoloring of course!" Cher said. "And yeah, I am. It's the first really big social thing here. It would be bad form not to go."

She had to go through a couple dresses to remember where she'd seen the purple one, but got it to hand over. "There you are. I think it's prettier this way."
