Naminé wasn't her usual white dress again today. She'd be back to it soon enough, she just felt colorful at the moment. Festive.

Have dessert! It's on the house! This had nothing to do with Student Council, which Naminé wasn't aware she was running for. It simply seemed like a good day to share dessert ( Read more... )

Why yes that was the Devil sitting at one of the tables, calmly looking over the menu.

Lucifer eyed the anthropomorphized dishes with a mild interest before going back to waiting for his guest to arrive.

Indeed the doctor had recognized the voice leaving him a message and he was a combination of curious and boyishly giddy!

After grabbing a quick shower, Wilson had changed into a nice pair of slacks, dress shirt, fresh tie and a sports coat.

Coming through the door, he spotted the angel almost immediately and headed towards the table. As he came up beside Lucifer, Wilson laid a single rose down on the table by the Adversary's hand. It was a unique deep gold color, not unlike the Lightbringer's eyes, with crimson rims, as if someone had lightly dipped the tip of the rose in red paint.

"Good evening, Lucifer."

Lucifer glanced over at the rose, mildly amused at the gesture. "To you as well, James."

Taking the seat across from the Prince of the Eastern Sky, Wilson sat down and tilted his head at his companion.

"This is a pleasant surprise," he said in a curious tone.

"I should hope it would not be unpleasant," Lucifer remarked dryly.

Tilting his head to the side, Wilson gave Lucifer a soft look.

"Well, let's see." He said, folding his hands in front of him. "Are you going to ask me to go visit any Lilim?"

Lucifer cocked his head to the side in thought. Very serious thought, of course. "Not this evening." Because one could never be too sure it wouldn't happen some time.

"Are you going to fuss at me for using the word 'almost'?"

"Fuss at you?"

Wilson held up his hands and looked innocent.

"Hey, it happened once already today, just making sure there are no repeat performances." He explained, grinned and gave a little shrug. "Okay so technically you weren't the one fussing but still ..."

The grin grew into one of those soft, rare smiled and Wilson lay his hands back down on the table.

"It's always a pleasure to be out with you."

"I was not aware that I was the fussing type," Lucifer remarked, a faint amusement coloring his voice. He looked down at the rose at Wilson's comment, the barest hint of a smile showing now. "Shall we order?"

Reaching for his menu, Wilson opened it and reviewed his options. He considered asking Lucifer if he would like to order for him but he could mentally see the raised eyebrow that would be coming his way and so ... mostly tried to keep that thought to himself.

"Vegetarian, vegetarian ... let's see here."

It certainly would garner him a raised eyebrow.

Lucifer sat back in his chair, just watching Wilson as he looked over the menu. People watching would never bore him.

Which was a bit of a wonder, given how many mortal lives he'd witnessed over the millions of years. Wilson would have thought that Lucifer would be immeasurably bored with humans; he would be delighted to learn he was wrong.

"Would you like to split some stuffed mushrooms?"

A constant of humanity was the ability to surprise. It was one of the things he enjoyed that he was forced to give due credit to father.

"If it pleases you," Lucifer replied easily.
