Anakin sat down in the grass, ignoring the protests his stomach muscles made, and reached out into the Force.

Jaina had been headed out to run some errands, but it wasn't hard to pick up on Anakin, and she had been wanting to talk to him since everything had gone down. She headed over, but didn't say anything, not wanting to interrupt.

"Good morning, Jaina," Anakin said quietly, eyes still closed.

"Mind being bothered?" she asked, but would probably do it no matter what his answer was.

[sith_happened]

"You're never a bother," Anakin replied, opening his eyes and gesturing for her to join him on the grass.

She took a seat on the grass, making herself comfortable before asking, "I wanted to see how you were, after Saturday."

He touched the new scar slanting across his face with a wry smile. "I've had more character added."

[solo_sword]

"It looks distinguised," she assured him. "Is that what cost you a clinic visit?"

Anakin discovered a silver lining to Rory not being around to freak out at the radio broadcasts. He shook his head. "Umbridge's wand caught me across the stomach. I needed someone to kind of...fix that."

"And I'm assuming that's taken care of and everything's okay and I don't have to tell my grandfather to get back in bed?" Like Jaina would do in that position. Uh huh.

[sith_happened]

Anakin smiled at her. "Like you'd do in my position?" he asked. "I'm fine. Nothing a lot of healing meditations can't fix."

[solo_sword]

"Good," she said. "And there's a nice long week for you to rest up and get back into condition to deal with all the annoying teenagers."

[sith_happened]

"And the ones I'm not related to, as well," Anakin teased.

[solo_sword]

"I should have seen that one coming, I really should have," she said, shaking her head. "Other than clinic visits, how have you been?"

[sith_happened]

"I now have a hyperactive vampire puppy name Vladdie," Anakin said, still seeming a little perplexed about it.

[solo_sword]

"You... what?" She paused, trying to work that over in her head. And no, she still couldn't see it. "Puppy."

The vampire part isn't even a concern. It's the fuzzball bit.

"He was Rory's," Anakin said, like that explained it all.
