He really needed one of those devices playing musical recordings. Hopefully there would be some place in the town that sold them. It would require investigation, but hopefully someone could help him with that.

[The church is open]

Karal ducked his head into the church, hoping that Gabriel would be here. "Gabriel?" He had, as was usual, brought food, sandwiches and some salads, and a large bottle of iced tea. "Are you here?"

Gabriel looked up when hearing the now familiar voice. "Karal! Come in!" Even with his sadly inferior human sense of smell he could at least now guess that it was food Karal had brought.

"You are here! I am sorry I did not come by last week," he set the bag he was carrying down on the pew, and smiled at Gabriel, "but I trust you are doing well?"

Gabriel seemed to recall that Karal has stopped by last week, as he had not yet found out that last week was not a part of his memories. Still, that was unimportant. "As well as I can be doing here," he replied, sounding almost cheerful. He sad down on the backrest of one of the pews. "Coffee?" he offered.

"Yes, thank you, that would be lovely," he said, settling to sit in one of the pews. "The fridge and the kettle, and everything, they are still working well? And I brought you some things to eat."

"Still working." It was a little strange how he actually enjoyed being able to make coffee for his visitors. He handed Karal the cup, then placed his own next to him on the pew and opened the bags Karal had brought. "Good week?"

"Thank you," he said and took a sip before answering. "It has been, I think. There was a thunderstorm last night, and I spent it down in the stables with Trenor, and I am going away on Friday to visit Molly." He smiled shyly down at his coffee. "Just for the weekend."

Gabriel just gave a quick nod in reply. Nothing of what Karal had just said had caught much of his attention. Although thinking for a second, he realised that she should ask about that last comment. "You are coming back, are you?" Karal didn't seem to be the impulsive sort, but humans had been known to act impulsively when it came to their partners. And Gabriel had completely forgot that Molly was eventually returning too.

"Oh, yes! Yes I am! I will only be away for the weekend, and then I will return." He smiled reassuringly, touched that Gabriel had been worried he was not going to come back. "You have my word."

That was reassuring and Gabriel nodded. Karal was very sueful to have around. "You don't have any suggestions where to find a device playing musical recordings, do you?" he said, changing the subject.

He frowned, trying to recall. "I know there is a shop which sells music. One of the students, Charlie, works there. It would make sense, as they sell recordings, that they would sell devices for playing them?"

[ooc: and I go to sleep now. SP?]

Gabriel frowned. "The one with the nasty kittens?" he asked, wrinkling his nose. "They attacked me."

[Yay SP. Sleep well!]

"I know it has kittens," he replied slowly. "I did not know they were nasty. They attacked you?"

"Bit me. Pesky things." Gabriel didn't look amused.

"Perhaps Altra could go with you, if you wished to return? He has proved good with kittens." Even as he was suggesting it, Karal felt like it was a Bad Idea, but perhaps it could help smooth the dislike between them. "I am sure he would not mind."

Gabriel wasn't too sure about this idea either and gave Karal a suspicious look. "Good with kittens? And he won't mind?"
