Normally Gunther put up a fuss when it was his turn to watch the front desk. Not today. The front desk had a phone that was perfect for making long-distance phone calls to Las Vegas. Danny and Delinda certainly needed to know what kind of trouble Mary was getting into in Fandom.

Stan wandered into the hotel to check in on Mary. Which was close to checking up on her, but in a non-professional manner.

"I wanted to see how you were. NOt a checkup," he said, raising his hands in a 'don't shoot' gesture, "but I heard that that bartender guy roped people into a dating thing. You got sucked in?" he asked, smiling.

"Are you kidding? After the dinosaurs I took out as many types of insurance on this place as I could get. Gunther's also pretty handy with a fire extinguisher," she added.

"Sounds like you have a well-trained staff." A thought popped in his head. A bad thought. "Are they ninja?" He nearly facepalmed.

"Sorry, it popped up in some of my research," he said sheepishly.

Stanley looked very sheepish. "I've been reading the Diane Bird novels. Her guardian is a ninja manservent. I...I couldn't stop with Barry Plodder."
