Knowing that there was at least one new island resident looking for an apartment, and given the season, likely more, Xander opened up the office on Monday, made sure he had plenty of Willow's application forms around, and settled down behind the counter with some plans for built-in bookcases. Not that he was sure what sort John and Zoe would prefer

After his Firearms workshop, Bridge heads back to town, stopping by the Perk for coffee and muffins before coming back to the apartments.

"Breakfast," he announces, as if it weren't obvious.

"And this is why I love you more than my zero other boyfriends," Xander says with a wide grin.

[bridge_carson]

"That's the *only* reason?" Bridge asks before biting in to a muffin.

[needsaparrot]

"It's one of several."

[bridge_carson]

"That's good to know," Bridge says. "'Cause if you loved me just for my hunter-gatherer skills I'd feel really bad about pointing out that all of my hunting and or gathering involves pressing Synthetron buttons or an exchange of money for goods."

"Hey, you're good at tracking the wily marshmallow too..."

"They help by not being mobile," Bridge says with a nod.

"You don't know. They might just be frozen in fear of your mighty hunter-gatherer skills."

[bridge_carson]

"Frozen in fear and trapped in little plastic packages."

[needsaparrot]

"Exactly!"

[bridge_carson]

"You are so weird," Bridge says fondly.

"I'm taking that as a compliment, considering the source."

[bridge_carson]

"I happen to love weird," Bridge says with a nod. "So, yeah. That'd be a compliment."

"I rented three apartments today," Xander tells him as he reaches for a muffin. "Which is not so much weird as cool, but it seemed like a reasonable segue."

[bridge_carson]

"It's a segue if any of the people you rented to were weird," Bridge notes. "Were they weird?"

[needsaparrot]

"A guy who might want to use the holosuite sometime, two little old ladies who want us to come to dinner sometime, and... the one who's afraid of balconies. So... maybe one for three?"
