Sam wasn't used to having Tuesdays away from the library, so he was using his new free time for necessary molestation to wander around town. The smells coming from the bakery were too good to ignore, so he went in, and grinned when he spotted Peter.

"Hey!" he said. "How's it going?"

"Not bad," Peter said ready to molest Sam in return. "You?"

"I'm okay. Kind of missing classes already, but that's because I'm weird," he said. "How was your...uh, weekend?" he asked, trying to sound casual about the inquiry.

"Taller than most," Peter said with a grin. "Compared to some people anyway."

"You didn't get turned into a kid? That's so not fair."

[repeterpetrelli]

"If your friends go weetiny and you're not there to laugh, does it really count?" Peter replied, still grinning.

Sam laughed. "I guess not. I'm just glad Dean and I both ended up littler, so that he couldn't laugh at me."

"He do anything big brotherish?" Peter asked. "Hold you down? Give noogies? Come to think of it, would that differ from how you two usually are?"

"I guess overall, we weren't terribly different from how we usually are," Sam said. "Except that he was 9, and I was 5, so instead of cooking real food and cleaning weapons together, we were more about making ice cream sundaes and sand castles together. It wasn't a bad weekend, just...weird."

"Sounds like fun," Peter said. "I almost wish I could've joined in. Funny how this stuff hits some people and not others."

"Yeah, it is weird. It's like the weirdness fairy comes along and goes, 'No, I like you, you don't need to be embarrassed, so you can stay just as you are.'" Sam smirked. "I guess in one way, it's good that you didn't end up weetiny - that might have been awkward to explain if you talked to your brother then."

"Oh but the fun fights we could've had over me touching his stuff," Peter said. "Though that might not be too different from now..."

"The fights we have with our brothers may change in context, but on a basic level, they're still the same fights we've been having all our lives. I don't know whether or not that's a comforting thought."

"I kinda like knowing that Nathan's always going to be there for me," Peter said. "Good and bad. I don't know where I'd be without him."

"I don't know where I'd be without Dean either. Not that he's good at letting me be without him," Sam said with a bit of an eyeroll. "Are you going to see Nathan over the summer?"

"That's what I'm working on now," Peter said. "I wouldn't mind a quick visit, but I don't want to go home the whole time."
