Rizelle felt she had spent enough time being precautious and scoping the town out. This will do. This will do just fine. She just had to find a handful of potential victims to help her with her plan, and that insipid little girl would be hers once and for all. She'd deliver to Master Aion; he'd remember the gesture, and maybe Master Joshua ( Read more... )

Nadia was taking a walk. Things to think about and all that, and if she stayed in the dorms, she had a feeling that those things would all boil down to wishing she'd gone off to the gig and just dragged Walter along.

Too late for that now, though. Just like it was too late for her to regret her decision not to take SIDE up on that mission and get out while the going had been good.

Rizelle had crept along the rooftops following this girl with interest; she looked distracted by something, she felt a little overwhelmed with all those sorts of things humans got themselves so concerned about. Perfect. Quickly, she weaved up a thread and, with little more than the barest whistle of wind, whipped it toward the girl, her aim precise and exact so that the tiny spider at the end handed on her shoulder, and quickly scuttled to the nape of her neck.

A faint tickling, little more, enough to make a person want to brush against their neck to get rid of the little bug that had found its way there, but, just as Nadia's hand might be encouraged to move, a sudden thought would invade her to just stop, she felt nothing, and to just stand there for a moment while Rizelle poked around her brain a moment to see what uses she could have.

Nadia's fingers twitched, then she just stood still, looking vaguely off into the distance.

The voice that told her to be still continued in her head. ...Are you familiar with the one they call Chrono? Barely a second passed before it continued firmly. Don't respond verbally; tell me only through your thoughts.

Sam had a lot to think about, trying to process what Dawn had told him about volunteering to help Rikku. So, he went for a walk in town, to trying to clear his head enough to keep from saying anything to Dawn that they would both regret.

Ah, nice thing with little humans, so easily distracted which made it easy for Rizelle to target them and send little spiders their way without them barely even noticing. One landed on Sam's shoulder, quickly sneaking up into the place at the back of his neck, hairy little legs brushing against his skin before etherally diving into his consciousness. Almost as if to test the ability of this potential puppet, Rizelle told him to ignore the feeling at the back of his neck and just remain still.

The feeling at the back of Sam's neck went away almost as quickly as it came, and he stopped walking altogether, just standing still instead.

After spending a good five minutes just getting a feel for the boy, Rizelle was pretty confident in his abilities to serve her purpose, but she had to make sure, right? An urging in the back of his head beckoned Sam to walk forward, precisely ten steps.

Naomi was feeling restless and tired of constantly being in her room so she decided to go for a walk.

This one caught Rizelle a bit off guard with those horns. If anything, she had to check her out based on curioisity alone. A well aimed thread left a tickling at the back of Naomi's neck, one she might have felt compelled to investigate, but then the urge was instantly instructed to back off by the spider's master.

Naomi stopped. For about half a second she felt the urge to find out what was going on but before she even knew what was happening the idea to investiage was gone and she didn't think anything of it.

Well, she responded just as easily as any human would so far. Tilting her head slightly, she used the spider to encourage the idea into Naomi's head to find a stone from the street and toss it down the road.

Annette thought to go to Leo's party, but she was taking her time, walking slowly and enjoying the evening air. Also, she wasn't too sure she wanted to go to the party without Dick.

So she was pondering these things as she went along, humming softly.

By this point, Rizelle was starting to feel like maybe she was doing these humans something of a favour by flinging spiders at them and making them mindless for a little bit, because it seemed a trend that they all just thought about crap way too much. This one was blonde, too, which, for some reason, made her feel particularly annoyed.

So the spider hitting Annette's shoulder might have been a little painful. But it'd reach her neck and numb her consciousness to Rizelle's whim probably well before she could finish reacting.

The pain hit her shoulder quickly, sharply, but before Annette had a chance to react fully to the sudden how, why, and who - it was gone.

Standing still as she was now, her brow furrowed slightly as she tried to recount what had just happened. Failing miserably in that endeavor, she started walking again, slowly, this time without the added benefit of her humming.

Rizelle was starting to perhaps realize why she didn't feel she'd like this one. Stop that humming. Stop walking all together, in fact, a voice penetrated very convincingly in Annette's mind.

Still kind of wired after the concert, Bridge is walking around in an attempt to burn off the excess energy.

A thread whipped out from Rizelle's hand, landing her spider in the boy's hair, which explained why it took this spider a little longer to get to the right spot on the nape of the neck to start digging its psychic little feelers into him; Rizelle spared no time in ordering him to stop so she could check out another prospect. The more, the better...

For the briefest of moments, Bridge's *own* psychic senses flare to life and attempt to let him know that something weird's going on. It's too late though. He stops in his tracks.

Well, that was certainly...interesting. There was a strange feel to this one, which had Rizelle intrigued, and she pulled a little on the thread attached to Bridge, coaxing him with her control to take a few steps back into some better light.
