All-nighters were never much fun to pull the night before you had to work late, but the timing had caught Shuichi off-guard. NG had finally gotten back to him, and he'd been up wayy later than he'd wanted to talking on the phone with the producers.

So instead of celebrating their return call, Shuichi decided that a good nap was a much more productive idea.
