The Park - All Day Thursday

Lots of snow had fallen overnight so Thursday dawned cold and completely white.  The snow sparkled in the sunlight as the final touches were put on the carnival that had appeared during the night.

By midday, the carnival was open to all residents of the island, the snow still gleaming off of the the tents containing food, games, and ice sculptures

Ice Sculptures

One of the tents has a number of large ice blocks and all sorts of tools to create ice sculptures or just play with ice.

Ami decided that an ice sculpture was really a good way to take her frustration out. She worked carefully and achieved realizm she did not expect.

"It sort of happened." Ami said apologetically.

"Not sure what it is either. It looks kind of gross." Ami was staring at it in contemplation.

"Does it look like anything to you?" Ami wonderedhappy this wasn't mashed potatoes

"Yeah. In a nagging, like i am forgetting something sort of way." Ami nodded. pout, i am fasting

"But we remembered!" Ami said plaintively. "What else have we forgotten?" She was kinda getting scared again.

"God i hope this isn't more stuff from before. " Ami's hands formed into fists. This just all made her so upset and angry.

i thought lent was with fasting on Fridays?not that i actually know much about Christianity at all

"Ugh."

The sun was shining, and at that moment it shone just behind the ice sculpture, making it back lit. And suddenly Ami knew exactly what it was.

"Damn."
