"Ok, i will go first, cause, date." She walked to the hair stylist lady, acting much much braver then she felt. "Ma'am, would it be possible to get my hair washed and curled in waves like this picture?" she pointed to a model on the wall who had loose curls.

She turned to River. "Want to keep me company?"

A little more at ease now, River nodded. "Curls," she asked, a little nervously.

Ami smiled and motioned River to come with. "It will be fun!"

"Yes," River said, not looking quite convinced. She watched the hairdresser begin her work.

First Ami was seated in an odd sort of chair that placed her head in the sink. The very nice lady shampooed Ami's hair and was nice enough to make sure the water was an alright temperature.

Then Ami's very very straight hair was combed out and set in fat soft rollers.

"No?" River asked. The hairdresser gave her a curious look. "I think not."

The hairdresser barely resisted rolling her eyes at the two girls. "Alright dearie, now just sit here until this beeps."
