Dan has called Gambon the "least-professional actor" he's ever met, and he means it in an endearing, doesn't-take-himself-too-seriously sort of way, but really, he just doesn't give a fuck and it shows. And we care, so it wouldn't hurt to pretend he actually cares about the role and the fandom.

It pissed me off for ages, but then I just accepted that they were two separate canons and therefore book!Dumbledore =/= film!Dumbledore. Now Gambon's fail just makes me LOL.

Totally hear you on Luna, Molly and Tonks. Not the others I don't think. Especially not Hermione - movie version is even more annoying and obnoxious and insufferable than the book version.
