I'm the same, anon. I actually have had that happened -- finding out about someone's RL that tainted what they do. I also believe in giving celebrities privacy so they aren't on camera all the time -- not that I think that's what they are going for on Twitter, but when it comes to the supermarket checkout rags, that stuff makes me cringe. The result: half the time I don't even know my favorite actors names.

Is it a common nickname people have latched on like Pasha for Pavel? *seeks knowledge*

The Pasha nickname is a bit different. Of the people I know from Russia, they generally use the suffix "sha" and drop the rest of the name for their nickname. Like one of my friends' names is Maria, but she calls herself Masha. It at least makes sense for his character.

I have no idea where "Neera" comes from, though.

Yeah, I knew that. I wanted to allude to the fact that I have no idea if there are any African naming patterns similar to Pavel -> Pasha, because I have fuck all idea.
