I'd read it. :( Isaac was the absolute best, & he & Daniel had some great scenes.

I confess, though, that I never finished the Baroque Cycle c-cause I got bogged down in all the finance in The Confusion and I was so %$#@ing sick of Eliza. |D

...true. Mr. Stephenson sure did seem to adore both Jack & Eliza, too, and that didn't help matters because he kept bashing the reader over the head going "OH AREN'T THEY SO CHARMING & CLEVER??? look at how DELIGHTFUL they are" which did not endear me to them in the slightest.

I still feel like I ought to have finished the series, though. All sixteen tons of it. Should I?

But yes. I was taking physics when I first read this, and... it was hard to not laugh like an idiot. xD

I can't say that I've ever been inspired to write any, but I would certainly read it! I'd be up for some Cryptonomicon Turing/Waterhouse fic too, if there's any out there.

With you on both counts :)

Agreed. And Turing/Waterhouse would just be so cute. Particularly that scene where Turing's explaining and Waterhouse isn't getting it.

I never thought I'd find someone else who ships it! You just made my day!

fjkasdlfjsk; I'm a day late and I don't CARE. These books basically made me decide to focus on history of science for my history degree. It was so hard not to laugh all through my class on Newton last semester, but it made it really easy to answer questions.

I kinda liked what little there was of Huygens, too. *embarrassed cough*
