Darkness.
Everywhere.
Seeping into every pore.
Not even shadows, nothing, just...
Nothing.
Silence.
No words, no sound, no one talking, no one laughing. Nothing.
Bela thinks that if this is limbo, then limbo sucks.
Out loud.
She laughs a little.
There's an echo and maybe it’s only in her head, but right now? she doesn't care. She can hear it.
She can hear something which has to mean there's something to hear.
She blinks.
This time she feels the blink and... sees it.
It's still dark everywhere, but now there's an edge to the darkness. Almost a lighter shade to the blackness.
Maybe.
Maybe this is not the end. Maybe there's something else.
Maybe this isn't the end.
She blinks again.
She winces.
Pure white light blinds her.
Someone grasps her arm and pulls.
It burns.
She closes her eyes, doesn't want to see.
She doesn't have a choice.
This isn't the end.
