Nono - Thomas is a giraffe. Ozil is a gazelle and Poldi is a big ol' labrador retriever and Schurrle is a poodle! Rolfes is a lucky sheep with pretty golden fleece <3 <3 <3

I just wish I could come up with plot, instead of just more worldbuilding. I love my sci-fi worldbuilding, but I love it better when it has plot, and I feel like a bit of a hypocrite not being able to come up with one. :(

also I reread Appleseed and I'm reminded of just how dated it is, sigh. I mean, I realize when it was written, but cyberpunk without the concept of the Internet just feels wrong, even ignoring the whole "USSR never collapsed" bit. (Though I will say as a mecha fangirl Landmates are really very amazing. *___*) Also, ugh, so much untapped philosophical potential - Shirow just breezes by the whole, you know, consequences of a biodroid-run utopia, as well as the cyborg body process destroying what you originally looked like, cyborgs having very different senses than humans (how freaky would it be, emotionally, to have eight eyes?), and cyborg/human romantic/sexual relationships. Sigh. I mean, are there even erogenous zones on Hecatonchires bodies? Issues of "parts" can basically get the sex toy solution, and we know the ( ... )
