Jan 23, 2007 16:49

The common room was decked out in Christmas lights and white streamers, all up very high thanks to Chad's help. Turtle? Definately ogling the unprecidented amount of skin.

Either that, or they just reported a predicted rise in one of her investments.

Most likely the latter.

Jake was not ogling. He was just paying very close attention in order to get everything down on his sketchbook correctly.

Billy was not ogling any of the girls. Not that he'd admit at any rate.

Annette was so ogling.

Jake spotted Annette and wandered over to her, sketchpad in hand. "Hey! May I sketch you? To preserve your beauty for after the party and whatnot."

She laughed. "Are you serious?"

Jake grinned back. "Strangely, yes, yes, I am." He showed her the sketches he'd already made. "I take some artistic liberties," he added, since none of the students were currently wielding big shiny swords.

Well, how charming he was! Annette peered over and looked at what he had already done. Impressed, she said, "Of course you may sketch me. You are really good. I'm Annette by the way." And she held out her hand.

He shifted his pad over to his other hand, and then shook her hand. "Jake. Nice to meet you." He gave her a big grin. "And thank you, times two. If you'd just stand there and let me stare at you in a very non-creepy, non-stalkery way..."

"Nice to meet you too, Jake." She said, moving a bit to where he indicated.

"You are not going to draw me an overly large nose or anything are you?" She teased.

"Could you put your arms over your head?" Jake asked, and definitely didn't comment on whether he'd make anything larger than nature. For artistic reasons, of course. "Have you posed before? You're very good," he complimented, pencil moving quickly across the paper.

Annette did as he asked and felt a little more vulnerable in this pose, and her cheeks flushed with color. "No, never." She said softly, then, "Thank you, Jake."

After another minute passed, she asked him with a wry grin, "My nose is normal, right?"

Jake snickered at her, sketched a few more lines, then turned his pad around to show her a rough sketch. "Nose to your approval, I hope? If you don't mind, I'd like to keep it so I can flesh it out a bit. It's been a while since I've drawn new people."

Annette was totally floored when she looked at his rough sketch. Her mouth gaped open a little and her eyes widened. "You are really great, Jake. I think you drew me better than I actually look." She was so impressed.

"And yeah, keep it, it's yours after all." She was just...floored.

"No, no, it's all the model! and google," Jake protested, smiling at her expression.
