Teddy was on the couch, watching seizure inducing cartoons. After radio broadcast from last night said that Cassie was talking to people about him, he needed something insanely violent to take his mind off traitorous ex-teammates ( Read more... )

Though Henry had been exploring last night, he'd never actually found his own common room. This time around, he found it surprisingly quickly.
Henry had been planning on scoping out the cooking facilities, but he got a little side tracked when he saw the television.
"What on earth is that?" He asked, and squinted at the television, as though that would make everything sort itself out.

Setsuna smiled a little, shied away from the obvious response, and responded with something that she hoped wouldn't be too confusing if this fellow was from a different time. "We call that bad anime."

Henry turns away from the TV. "Ah. I'm a bit new to some of the technology around here, but I was under the impression that most things on a television were supposed to make some kind of sense."

Setsuna chuckled a little. "Not when they're made in Japan. I think we pride ourselves in making our cartoons as nonsensical as possible sometimes." Her eyes lingered on the television screen for a moment and she shook her head. Ojou-sama loved shows like this...

"I'm Setsuna, by the way," she said, nodding her head toward him in greeting.

Henry's hand was right out to shake hers, but when there was no hand, his brain stopped for a second. That's not how they greet in Japan, is it? He doesn't want to be insulting.
He tries to keep from failing too much. "I'm Henry Jekyll. It's a pleasure to meet you."

Hopefully, Henry's brain might click into place a little bit when Setsuna's hand met his and she gave it a small, but firm handshake. It wasn't how they did it in Japan, but Setsuna was also used to associating with many of Elder Konoe's friends from the west.

"Very nice to meet you, too, Henry. Are you excited about your new experiences here at Fandom?"

The handshake actually did help Henry get back on the right track.
"Yes," he responded, "things are so different here, I don't think that I will find myself getting bored any time soon."

"Definately not," Setsuna nodded. "But there are nice, quiet times, too. THe first week or two will be quite a whirlwind."

Henry grins. "All the same, I can't wait for classes to start."

"What classes did you sign up for, Henry?"

Henry ticked the classes off on his fingers. "Pop Culture, Anatomy, Zen Computer Studies, Sup-" He stopped himself in time. The last one was Edward's class, not his. He covered with, "Wait, not that one, it was full. Just the three."

"Cartoons!" Teddy shouted gleefully.

Henry's seen a TV, but this is his first encounter with animation. "It's like a mutoscope..."

Teddy tilted his head in confusion. "What's a mutoscope?"

"It's a machine that flips pictures in rapid succession. It creates the illusion of movement." Henry takes another look at the television. "But I suppose you don't need those here."
