Roof: Friday evening

Dec 08, 2006 20:29

Parker wandered out of the International Food Explosion at some point, and headed up to the roof. It was cold out, but the food was hot and she had a jacket, so she sat on the balustrade, and enjoyed the stars.

And imagine that, Anders was already up here with a cigarette.

Which he quickly tossed over the edge of the roof as soon as he caught sight of Parker, but still.

"Hey," he said, clearing his throat.

"Hey." Parker's eyes narrowed, not sure if she'd seen what she'd thought she'd seen. "How goes it, Daisy?" She took a bite of her cranberry taquito and watched him carefully.

Anders knew she'd smell the smoke on him if he got too close, so he kept a careful distance. Yeah, because that would be subtle.

"It goes," he said with a shrug. "Got my part in the pageant over with fast enough, thank the Lords, and got the hell out of there. Been out riding pretty much all day since, and then I got up here."

Parker finished the taquito, and wandered closer, eyes fixed on Anders. "I liked the jazz hands. I got photos of you and Walter and Dawn." Her eyes narrowed, and she picked up an empanada, holding it threateningly. "Daaaaaisy. What have you done?"

Bel poked his head through the door to the roof, saw Anders and Parker talking, and quickly fled.

Parker's head swiveled in that direction after hearing the door open not unlike something from the Exorcist but she was too late to catch a glimpse of whoever it was. Shrugging, she went back to grilling Anders within an inch of his life.

*step*thump* *step*thump*

Stairs were the hardest with the peg leg. give him good level ground and he could make pretty good time, but his hip was starting to protest the awkward. There was going to be some serious stretching once he got his own leg back.

In the mean time, Roof. Meditation? Oh. People. Oh well.

He waved.

Parker waved back, absently, and went back to grilling Anders like a fried egg.
