Why yes, he has already had dinner. Why yes, that's Walter beating some eggs while potatoes and onions fry on the stovetop. What he plans to do with that block of cream chese is anyone's guess.

Pup seemed to be trying to help Walter with his footwork, which required being under them at every possible opportunity.

Nadia wandered down after her teaching session on the roof.

It was a good warm up, she thought, for having to teach Dance tomorrow.

"Hey, you,"

"Hey." Walter waved a spatula at her. "If you get some hot sauce, you might find this edible."

[nadiathesaint]

"I'll have you know that not everything has to be spicy. What are you making?" She went over to lean her chin against his shoulder and generally be in the way.

Which just added to the fun of trying to cook with a hellpuppy underfoot.

"It's just some fried potatoes and onions with eggs and cream cheese. It's filling, not gourmet."

"Oooo. Potatoes. Well, if it has onions, it should be okay." She grinned and leaned even more against him. "So, how was your day?"

Grinning? Clearly she was feeling better this evening.

"Quiet. Other than Hunting, which was interesting. Yours?"

[nadiathesaint]

"Yeah, I talked to Blair earlier. He feels really bad about his protest this week." Nadia shrugged. "It's been okay. Good even. I cleared things up with Cally, and I just got to teach Tyler a thing or two about going incognito."

[walter_n_wires]

"I wanted to stay in a good mood today, so I didn't talk to him about his protest." He kissed her forehead before turning away from the stove with the pan. She could fall over if she'd like, of course.

"I'm glad you and Cally worked it out. Did you have fun with Tyler?"

Nadia didn't fall over, but rather gracefully switched her leaning from him to the counter as though that was what she'd been doing the whole time. "Yeah. He was a pretty good student, really picked things up quickly. And I think he's already had practice in observing people and how they move."

[walter_n_wires]

"Somehow that doesn't surprise me." He started filling two plates. "He has always seemed more alert than most people. As though he's sizing them up."

[nadiathesaint]

"That's a good habit to have in a lot of lines of work." Nadia frowned slightly. "Maybe not soap making, but he might be branching out."

[walter_n_wires]

Soap making. Right.

"He doesn't seem as though he'd be satisfied with just that."

[nadiathesaint]

"Everybody has to have a hobby, though," Nadia shrugged again and leaned over to grab a plate. "And making your own toiletries isn't a bad habit to be in."

[walter_n_wires]

"The more you can do yourself, the better," Walter agreed, pushing the cream cheese toward her. Mm. Food.

"You can't always count on being able to just buy things in the store. Or even finding things in the store."

[nadiathesaint]

"Or finding the store." Nadia doled out a large helping and grabbed a fork to take a bite. "Very good, as usual."

"Even without peppers?" Walter teased. He'd have to make more, since more people kept showing up.
