In leui of giving his roommate and his well-protected girlfriend some privacy, Chad made his way outside and found a nice spot underneath a tree. Ranma was taking Mizu for a walk before he went to work (yes he SOO does that... when I remember). This was nothing unusal. But what was unusual was the dream he had last night. It was the sort of dream that when he saw Chad he wanted either to run up, slap him in the face, then run away or blush and take off in the opposite dirrection in a speed walk before he was noticed. Un fortunately he stood in view for a minute or two before he could decide.

Chad, feeling a little whimsical after meeting Molly, struck a few ominous chords lightly on his guitar before waving to Ranma.

But, in truth, it was Mizu he was more interested in at the moment. It'd been a while since Chad had gotten some cute animal love around here. He patted his knee and whistled, "Oi, Mizu. //Come'ere, boy//." and hoped Ranma wouldn't mind. But Mizu was such a cute puppy...

Mizu heads right for him and Ranma looks stricken. Ughh noo... MIZU! He followed his puppy as it lopped towards Chad.

"Hey, there, Mizu," Chad said, immediately dispensing the ear scritches and feeling all warm and fuzzy inside with how eager the puppy was to come see him. Such a good little puppy, yes he wassssss, so cute and cuddly and he loved pets, didn't he? Yesh, he dooooes, 'cause he's a good little cute puppy....

"How you doin', Ranma?" Chad's eyes drifted up only a moment, because there was puppy adoration to be had.

"... Okay I guess. I didn't sleep well."

[senor_chado]

"Oh?" Chad threw it out there in case Ranma wanted to elaborate, although he had a feeling he wouldn't. Or he might, who knew? Either way, he was rubbing Mizu's belly, so he was content.

"Yeah." He would NOT elaborate. Even thinking of it made him shudder. Mizu is rolling around licking Chad's fingers and hopping up, tryingto climb on him.

"I slept like a log," he offered, although he was thinking more like a great impenitrable mountain with the way Mizu was trying to scale him. He grinned just a little at the tiny claws failing to get a grip on his knee. He gave Mizu a little push on the butt with his big hand to help the puppy over the great obstacle.

Mizu scrambled over his leg and curled up in his lap. Ranma could hardly watch the puppy because he was acting so cute. Plus that put his eye much too near places his DID NOT want his eyes to go. EVER. He took that moment to stop watching Mizu and to start looking at... the grass. Oooh. Grass. "Good for you."

"Beds here are a little small," Chad continued the idle conversation as he totally luffed on the puppy in his lap. Too bad puppies didn't purr, because then this would be perfecto. "And my roommate snores a little, but he's cool. You should go sign the sign."

"... What sign?"

[senor_chado]

"The one on the door of my room," Chad explained. "To protect Lana in case Jim ever does anything to hurt her." True, he'd only met Lana briefly that morning, but she was a very nice and pretty girl, and he felt anyone who had any sense to them should want to agree to protect her. Not that he felt Jim would ever do anything to hurt her, especially not with that list, but still.

"Someone's going to hurt Lana?!" He's ruffled by this. Lana was in his cabin and was one of the niced peole at Fandom. She knew about the cat thing and offered to go with him to get Mizu originally.

Chad grunted, amused by the reaction, wondering what made this Lana girl so special to have so many people care for her. But he was glad for it. Everyone deserved to be so loved. "Certainly not anymore."

[ranma_sao]

"Well good." He calms a bit. Lana?! Who would ever do such a thing?!

[senor_chado]

"Sign the list, though," Chad nodded. "The more, the merrier." Although he did feel bad for possibly propegating an even bigger angry mob at Jim if anything ever did happen, but, in the long run, if that were the case, then he'd probably deserve it.
