Outside the dorms, Sunday Night

Ranma had finally gotten the punch out of his hair and clothes and when he finished a certain cute beagle was whining at his heels. After leasing Mizu he was walking around outside, paying much more attention to the sky then to what Mizu was doing, or what his own feet were doing. He was only pacing around the dorm at a slow amble, with Mizu doing

Chad was feeling a little restless, what with the whole moving and meeting new people, and unpacking and getting settled into a new place, and decided to take a nice, thoughful stroll. He wanted to get himself familiar with the grounds at night, too, because he had a feeling he'd be spending a lot of his time out there at that time.

He half-expected others to be out, too. It seemed like a pretty...active student body. But what he didn't expect....

Oh, my God, puppy! Very, very cute puppy, ambling along the path on a leash as he approached. Chad was just about ready to crouch down and pet the living bee-geesus out of the adorable little dog when he realized. Oh, yeah, leash. Dog was being let by an owner. He slowly followed the leash up.

Oh! Chad waved. "Ranma, right?" There was a bit of internal gleeing at the fact that the cute dog belonged to someone he'd met.

"Hi Chad." He was not as hyper as he was earlier and he give a calm smile. "You like dogs?"

Chad nodded. "They're okay." But, for being okay, his eyes were definately more on the puppy than on Ranma. "This one yours?" One hand idly drifted toward the dog, and his mind raced with a chant: wanna pet the doggy, wanna pet the doggy, lookit the cute doggy, oh my God.

"Yeah. His name is Mizu." Ranma lifts his puppy up into his arms from where he'd been sampling Chad's shoelaces. He holds the waggly tailed beagle out to Chad. "Want to hold him?"

There was nothing there.

And then, when no one was looking, there was.

"Hiya!" Schrodinger said. "I was taking a walk and I saw you and thought I'd say hi!"

He noticed the dog and took a step away.

Ranma notices the cat boy and does almost the same thing. Except he took more than one step. "C-Cat..." Mizu yipped harmlessly, not the fierce type.

Schrodinger felt his ears. "No, catboy. Homo felinus." He bared his teeth at the dog. "Are you one of the new people or have you been here before?"

Ranma is too scared to ever really process the question, at the moment he's trying to scale a shear brick wall.
