"Arvin Sloane." Nadia hugged her knees tighter. "He says he's my father."

Nadia had not said much to Pippi about Sloane but Walter's diary had mentioned him. So she knew he had hurt Nadia and she knew this because of that weekend. Which hadn't had anything to do with Sloane, but that might not stop Pippi from transferring at least a small amount of hard feelings.

"Ah him." she said. "What about him?"

"He's here. Maybe. He called and said he was coming and wanted to see me and would be here this week but I don't know when or what he wants to do to me."
