Meerkat Campfire, Late morning

After an early morning trip to JGoB to pick up a few boxes of doughnuts, Isabel took a seat next to the Meerkat campfire and sipped her coffee, still snickering when she thought of the radio broadcast.

Parker wants back in the dorms, with her bunny and her privacy, ASAP. She also wants to slap anyone who calls her ChaCha. But she'll settle for food, and possibly? Booze.

"Hey, Isabel." Shades on. It's the only disguise Parker's got. "Mind if I take one?"

"Help yourself. I figured comfort food was the order of the day today." Isabel smiled, but still studied Parker with some concern. "Are you okay? I heard the radio."

"Ohh, I'm fine. Fine." Parker rubbed her head. "Traumatized, of course. But fine." She scowled, and lifted the sleeve of her shirt to reveal a nicotine patch. "Except for the lingering effects." She took a donut and glumly munched on it.

"Gah! I never thought of that," she said. "I can see where the trauma might have happened. Anakin? I'm so sorry," Isabel said apologetically. "If I'd seen it happening I would have knocked you over the head and dragged you away."

Parker facepalmed. "You're a true friend. And yes. God. I used an entire bottle of mouthwash this morning. I'm sure he did the same. I have to apologize to Rory, Ivanova, Dean Winchester, and possibly a couple other people, but I think Anakin and I will just settle for never ever ever being in the same place at the same time again."

"That's probably a very, very good idea," Isabel agreed. Although secretly she thought she'd like to see them in a room together just once since the flailing would probably be entertaining. "I don't think you have to apologize too much. Everyone was way out of character yesterday." She smiled, "Hell, I have a date with English Peter to go to the drive-in."

"Drive-in? There's no drive-in on the Island... oh. Heh." Parker grinned weakly. "Well, that should be an amusing conversation, later. Was Greg effected, or is he going to be thinking its hilarious too?" She shuddered suddenly. "Thank you, God. Jarod wasn't here this weekend."

"It's going to be very amusing, yes. I'm looking forward to it." She shook her head, "As far as I can tell, he wasn't effected thank god. Well if he had been, I'm sure he would have been the one to bonk you over the head and drag you away until you were back to yourself again."

"For such small mercies, we are truly grateful." Parker made a face, took another bite of doughnut, then chewed and swallowed, saying, "Jack did his very best as a stand-in for Jarod on the white knight front. Hoo boy."

"Jack's pretty good as a white knight, isn't he? What did you do? Try to seduce him?" Isabel asked jokingly.

Parker grimaced and put her hands over her face. "That would imply I was trying to be subtle. I don't think 'ChaCha' could spell it, much less define it."

Isabel blinked. "Oh my..."

"Yesss." Parker groaned, and pushed the sunglasses up farther. "Give Jack credit for ability to dance out of the way, though. Nothing happened beyond a clinch and an almost-kiss. Which was when I came to and popped him in the jaw. Gahhhh."

"I've experienced that ability to dance away, yes." She laughed, "Poor Jack. He was boggled when he saw Sam at the park."

"Rory said she 'skanked up'? What did she look like?" Parker couldn't help but savor the idea, given her own Adventures in Trashiness.

"I missed that part," Isabel said regretfully. "At the park she was still pretty conservative."
