"Not bad, not bad. Got a workshop soon. Wanted to get in a workout first. Alanna's back. She got turned into a statue. I haven't been doing much. Been checking out some running tracks. You?"
"Statue? That's a new one," Cameron shook his head and took a long swig before replying. "I've been keeping my head down really. Just working out, teaching Veronica how to kick. Decided to embrace the single life once and for all. You know."
"The avoiding's for me. It's more polite than blocking my ears and saying 'lalala' when she talks if something big happened so I didn't get involved. But if you're good, then good. Hey, me and Sam were thinking about setting up an obstacle course. You wanna try it out if we get it going?"
"Like climbing over walls?" Cameron asked, grateful for the change of subject. "Sure, man. I should be hearing from the Academy next month or so to see if I need to start really practising for the physical exams."
"Obstacle courses will be good for that. You'll be sick of 'em by the time you get outta there." Kawalsky didn't mention the additional flying (but harmless) projectiles that they were planning on adding. He'd find out eventually. "If you want to try some endurance stuff, lemme know. I used to run some of those kids ragged," he chuckled at the memory. "You know you've got a good drill sergeant if they push you too hard."
