Dawn made a quick handwavey trip into town for supplies, then set up a quesadilla bar. Conventional toppings like cheddar, swiss, monterey jack, eggs, spinach, peppers, onions, and mushrooms are there, as are less conventional toppings like peanut butter, marshmallow fluff, bananas, M&Ms, cottage cheese, apples, mandarin oranges, and pineapple

Hermione wanders into the common room with a book, waving to the others. "Hello."

"Hello," Dawn waved. "Help yourself, and oooh, what are you reading?"

"Oh, thank you," she says. "It's a book on first aid techniques. I'm taking the class, but it says it's advanced, so I thought I would catch myself up before it begins."

"You also might want to read up on badgers," Dawn said helpfully. "There were a lot of them in the basic first aid class."

Her mouth opens and closes once or twice. "Badgers?"

[lilpunkinbelly]

Dawn nodded. "Yup."

"Why badgers?" asks Hermione, who thinks this is a very good question.

[lilpunkinbelly]

"I have no idea. My guess is an unhealthy fixation," Dawn suggested. "But they've got sharp teeth."

"Does this mean badgers are used as the, um, test subjects? If so, do you think gloves would help?"

[lilpunkinbelly]

"Sometimes they're test subjects, and sometimes you get people. And gloves would definitely help."

"I'll have to stop and get some," she says, but looks a little concerned. "Did you like the class, at least?"

"I did, and I learned a lot," she nodded. "Professor Reid's pretty awesome."

"Good," Hermione says, ignoring the badgers for now. "What are you taking this time?"

[lilpunkinbelly]

"Retailing, Scoobying, and Sex Ed." She managed not to whisper this time, but she still blushed a bit. "What about you?"

"Constant Vigilance: Intergalactic Edition, First Aid, and Arts and Crafts," Hermione says. She's not even embarrassed about the last one, and she doesn't think it's silly.

"Oooh, those sound good," Dawn said. "Arts and Crafts sounds like it should be fun."
