Koala Cabin, Night: Fighty

Jun 01, 2006 20:56

In the cabins, the peaceful cabins, the future's last best hope for mankind lay in his bed.

Somehow, amidst his two cabinmates sawing sequoias like it's an event sponsered by Skil, John slept. And he dreamed...

The end of the month's bonfire was soon approaching, and no one had scoped out teh best spot on the beach to have it. So, as these things happen, everyone was on the beach looking for the primo bonfire location (in accordance with proper safety laws and Fandom game/wildlife policies, of course) to have a bitchin' all-night party.

And so, John was walking the beach, with some of the crazy people he'd met this year. Pippi. Pip. Maia, walking with some slender brown-haired gal that JOhn had met once. Marty and Angela, who looked so familiar, down at the other end of the beach. Bel. And there, approaching from the other side, was Syd.

All in all, it was a peaceful day, tending towards twilight as the day ended.

Except that Maia and her friend were pointing at something in the water, and freaking out.

John stared out at the water, reflecting the light across the calm waters.

Hullo, wazzat?

"Hey, Pippi? Gotcher spyglass? There's something in the water."

Pippi piped up with something Pippi-esque and was peering through the spyglass in a pip. "It's a ship."

"What kinda ship?"

"I dunno, kinda piratey?"

That's not good. "One of yours?" Both Pip and Pippi shook their heads.

As if to affirm, a rather large ball of metal came hurtling towards them, as if the boat people wanted to jumpstart a bowling league. With people.

"INCOMING!" John hit the sand, crawling behind a fallen tree. Pip and Pippi had taken position behind a small rock cluster, and various other people had taken cover. "Bel!" he shouted, "go get Marty! And tell him to come armed!" John hoped the teleporting demon could hear him. And that he would agree that firepower = teh good.

The boat launched another salvo. Cannonballs rip through the air. Dragon balls rip through another 2545 episodes of powering up. The ship was visible now, almost at the beach.

John stared in horror at the pirates. Fitted with eyepatches, peg legs, and hook hands, they were all Skynet Robots. T800. T1000.

John was tossed back onto the beach from his kneeling position, never hearing the cannonball that hit him.

He looked down at his side. In place of unbroken skin was the sharp pieces of a broken metal skeleton and leaking hydraulic fluid. He screamed.

He looked up, and one was right in front of him.

((First part locked to cabinmates only))

John screamed.
