Pangolin Campfire [Saturday Evening]

Bridge has got the campfire going, with an assortment of junk foods- of both of the roasting-over-a-fire and not kinds stockpiled to share with anyone who happened to pass by.

After spending the day hiding, Isabel went out for a walk. And saw Bel and Bridge at the Pangolin campfire. Taking a deep breath she walked over. "Hi guys."

"Hey, Isabel!" Bridge says, waving cheerfully. "Take a seat, have some free food."

"Yum! Food good!" she laughed. "So what's up? How are workshops? And have any further plans been made to keep you lazy for a day?"

[bridge_carson]

"Workshops continue to be un-school-like." Bridge bounces. "And as far as I know, nope. How're you?"

[izzyalienqueen]

"Considering I spent yesterday morning kayaking, I'd have to agree" Isabel smiled at Bridge's bounciness, "I'm going to have to talk to Jaye then. And I'm fine even if I did embarass the hell out of myself last night."

[bridge_carson]

Bridge tilts his head at Isabel. "What happened? Unless you don't wanna talk about it in which case you don't have to talk about it."

Isabel shrugged. In retrospect the early part of the evening is pretty amusing. The end of the night? Still amusing but very private. "I accidently took a sip of Jack's drink last night in Caritas. My metabolism is a bit weird so that sip pretty much had me plastered."

"Ouch," Bridge winces sympathetically.

[izzyalienqueen]

"The good news is, my metabolism is weird enough that I didn't have a hangover this morning," she said somewhat proudly. "The bad news is that I'm one of those annoying drunks that has to tell people how much I appreciate them. Many times. And I have to hug them."

[bridge_carson]

"Well, that's good about the no-hangover thing," Bridge says. "And there are worse kinds of drunk to be- at least you didn't try any death-defying stunts."

[izzyalienqueen]

"I hugged Parker and Aeryn."

[bridge_carson]

"...Okay." Bridge says, giving Isabel a slightly confused look.

[izzyalienqueen]

"They can be prickly!" Isabel tried to explain. "And scary!"

[bridge_carson]

"Well, maybe sometimes." Bridge concedes.

[izzyalienqueen]

"Exactly! And I was babbling. Gushing even. It's a wonder they didn't kill me."

[bridge_carson]

"I'm sure both of them figured out you weren't exactly yourself," Bridge says reasonably. "And thus cut you some slack."

There's a pause for a few seconds, and then, "Can I ask you something?"
