Pangolin Campfire [Tuesday Night]

Bridge is sitting by the Pangolin campfire, the box of doughnuts he'd earned from this afternoon's workshop with Xander open nearby. He's not doing much of anything, just occasionally poking at the fire with a stick.

Anyone was welcome to come hang out and have a doughnut, if they wanted.

Xander, suspecting that there'd be a lot of doughnuts mysteriously appearing at campfures tonight, brought a thermos of milk and a handful of plastic cups when he wandered by the Pangolin campfire. As you do. When your boyfriend lives there.

"Hey, Bridge. People who aren't Bridge." He waved. And might've winked, since there wasn't actually anybody sitting around the campire he couldn't name.

"Hi!" Bridge says with a bounce.

"Milk?" Xander offers, holding up the thermos and grinning. "That makes it balanced."

[bridge_carson]

"Of course!" Bridge grins. "Balanced is important, after all."

"Did Rory manage to steal any from you?" Xander asks curiously, glancing at the box.

[bridge_carson]

Bridge shakes his head. "I traded one of my doughnuts with sprinkles for one of her lemon-filled ones, though."

"Hrrm. Mutually beneficial truce. Interesting strategy. Hey, if it brings home the doughnuts at the end of the day..."

[bridge_carson]

"My thoughts exactly," Bridge says with a solemn nod.

Xander strokes his chin. "So did you actually have fun? Or was everybody running so fast to get away from the the workshop?"

[bridge_carson]

"I had fun!" Bridge bounces again. "And everyone else did too, from what I could tell. You need to stop worrying, you're good at this stuff."

Xander glances at the fire, kind of uncertain how to process that because the idea that it might actually be true is...weird.

"Thanks. It's...different. Definitely not something I'd have been sticking on my resume all these years right underneath doughnut-guy, if I had a resume."

[bridge_carson]

"Well, you should." Bridge smiles and offers Xander a strawberry vanilla doughnut.

Xander takes the doughnut. "Have a resume? It'd be pretty short, after the doughnut-fetching and the teaching people about doughnut-fetching. And I know CPR, so I guess I can help people if they choke on the doughnuts."

[bridge_carson]

"Well, I meant add teaching in general to your hypothetical resume," Bridge says. "And you could also put woodworking on there, of course." He adds absently.

Pity Xander's CPR skills don't include the ability to perform it on himself. Also pity that quarter of a doughnut just got wasted when he choked on it. Ah well, at least there's milk.

After a second, he says casually, "You...probably meant actual woodworking there."

Bridge snickers, just a little. "Yes." Then his expression turns concerned. "...Are you okay?" he frowns.
