It was very early on Saturday morning, so hopefully there wouldn't be anybody else around in the gym. She needed to work out some frustration, preferably without being recognized by more people she had never seen before in her life

Sam threw her towel and water bottle into a corner, waved to the room in general, then went over to the treadmill and set it for a light jog, so she could warm up before working out. Looked like the heavy bag was in use then anyway.
"It's what I'm hoping," she admits. "It should probably worry me that I'm watching to see who can actually be of use the next time something attacks us."
"Maybe?" Sam shrugged, "but I'm glad that someone who knows something about tactics is keeping an eye out for stuff like that."
She wasn't ready to think about the loss of some truly talented fighters with Angel, Anakin, and Callisto graduating. Even Logan had been able to hold his own.
"Give a yell if you need a second opinion," she hesitated, then said, "It's not so bad to be on your guard, Aeryn, but you should know that not everywhere on Earth is like Fandom. There are places that aren't always under attack or preparing for an attack. Um, just stay out of Colorado."
"And then it will be me placing calls to Angel and seeing if he needs help with anything," she says, almost casually. Because she can see it happening.
