Second Floor Common Room

Apr 23, 2006 22:19

After a week of Prom neurotic behavior, Marty is looking pretty relaxed. In fact he's sitting back and watchin an episode of "Oval Office" instead of working on his US. Government paper.

It's the "Big Block of Cheese Day" episode. Because who doesn't like cheese?

[Yah. Open to all don't cha know.]

Elizabeth was still toweling wet hair as she wandered into the common room, dressed in pyjamas and her robe. "Evening," she smiled at Marty, before glancing at the TV. "Ooh. The Oval Office. I love this show."

Marty gave Elizabeth a wave. "Hey roomie. I like this show too. It's the big block of cheese episode where TJ meets those cartographers for equality."

Elizabeth dropped down into a seat, and curled her legs up underneath her. "TJ's awesome. I want to be her when I grow up."

"I thought you wanted to rule the world?" Marty teased. "Would you really be happy as the press secretary or chief of staff? I'd have to say Roby Zeegler is my favorite. He's gruff but has a heart of gold."

"I'll take chief of staff on my way up," Elizabeth said lightly, grinning. "I mean, I need to so something before I turn 35."

Marty resists making a comment about Elizabeth turning 35 "again".

"Personally I have no interest in being involved in politics," Marty said with a little shrug. "The people I've met, you and Professor Lyman excluded, have been rather power grabbing people and very scary."

Elizabeth appreciates that, considering the first time she was 35? She ended up a teenager again.

"They're not all bad," Elizabeth said. She grinned evilly. "You must have only met Republicans."

"Well there was that General Kwang guy whose army I was in someplace in southern Asia. He wasn't a republican, just crazy."

Elizabeth shot him an alarmed look. "A southern Asian army?" she asked. "How did you end up in that?!"

"It was part of a job I did back when I... you know... still did that kind of thing," Marty replied with a little bit of a dark look on his face.

"Yeah. Sorry, I didn't mean to bring that up," Elizabeth said quietly.
