"Cool, since you're a little more advanced than the other people I'm teaching, I thought I'd start with some weapons training. We could meet at the firing range instead of the gym, go over some gun work?"
"Before lunch," Pip said, lighting a cigarette. "I don't know if you happen to have any weapons here yourself, but it probably doesn't matter 'cause I've got enough to conquera small island nation. Well, assuming I could pull off your "soak up bullets trick"."
"Sure," Pip said, tossing him the pack. "Didn't know you smoked. Hell, I didn't know that vampires could smoke. And if I'm going to teach you guns, you should think about getting one of your own. There's a weapons shop in town, I think."
Bel took a cigarette and tossed the pack back. "Thanks," he said. He wanted to conjure a fireball to light it but could not, so he looked to Pip again for a light. "Been trying to cut back," he went on, "but sometimes I just crave them, know what I mean? I'll see about visiting that weapons shop, too."
Pip pulled out a lighter, flicked it a few times, and held it up to Angel's cigarette. "Cool," Pip said. "Well, I want to get to town before the noon show of the movie. Catch ya later!"
"Hey Angel," he said. "We're still on for Wednesday, right?"
