Vider did not have, nor had she expected to have, any children. When the Alfather said you weren't going to have kids, you pretty much did not have kids, full stop. The frenzy had burned all those potential future paths out for her.
What she did have was babysitting experience from growing up in a Lokiskin caravan, which was why she'd parked herself in the common room on Sunday morning and started making pancakes. Someone was bound to be looking for breakfast, she figured, and everyone liked pancakes, right?
