The Kitchen- Haunted House- Tuesday evening

The lights in Sia's room had started flickering, and Vitor had started barking like crazy, so after a few minutes of that she just took him downstairs to get out for a while. This place gave her a weird enough feeling as it was, and she was not trying to compound that with an antsy dog

"Our room is a rave," Jessica said as she walked into the kitchen. "I'm going to stop in town and get us some glow sticks. Maybe check out the music store and see what they have under 'dubstep.'"

"Please pick up some earplugs and some sort of blindfolds if you do that," Sia said, quite possibly not joking.

"Not a problem," Jessica said. "If it helps, it doesn't seem to be anything dangerous. Just annoying."

"I know. If it was dangerous, I'd know it," she said. "I'm not sure Vitor can be convinced of that, though."

"He just needs a danger sense of his own," Jessica said. "Too bad you can't just order that."

"I think he has one, it's just the most sensitive one you could ever imagine," Sia said. "Such as when he thinks the curtains are a threat and need to be barked at."

"To be fair, they could fall on someone and make them trip and hurt themselves," Jessica suggested.

"Yes, that is a very real danger." The princess could totally do sarcasm. "Are you hungry?"

"If you're making enough to share, I could eat," Jessica answered.

"I'm afraid I have very little idea of how much a serving is, so there might be enough for two of you to eat." Look, it was good that she'd managed the actual cooking.

"My metabolism is crazy," Jessica said. "Feed me too much and that just means I have more energy for doing crazy physical things."

"I'm going to trust you not to say anything that I'll regret later," Sia said, turning down the heat on the stove.

"Like what, insulting your cooking? That would never happen. Cross my heart, hope to be scared by flickering lights," Jessica said.

"I mean more like 'Yes, I can have more' and then I have to deal with you bouncing across the room all night," Sia said.

"Don't worry, if anything I'll hit the town and get in some exercise," Jessica said.

"If the dog is barking at nothing again I will pay you to take him with you," Sia said in a tone that said this should totally happen.
