Gert had seen a lot of dumb crap on television in her time -- especially reality television -- but she had to admit that this was the first time she'd seen reality television quite as stupid as I Didn't Know I Was A ZombieToday's episode was about Ryan, a waiter from Oregon in his twenties who apparently had only finally become aware of his zombie ( Read more... )

"... Is that a zombie reality TV show?"

You know, if Natalie was entirely honest, she couldn't even say she was surprised. Not really.

Reality TV was everywhere.

"That or a really long-term Punking," Gert confirmed. "I kind of can't believe it myself."

"Must be from one of the other universes," Natalie remarked, heading to the kitchen bit of the common room. While wondering whether eating while there was a zombie thing on was smart. "It's amazing what people will watch."

Probably not, Natalie. Wasn't stopping Gert from enjoying an apple, though. It was good to build up your resistance to nausea from time to time. Or something.

Emily was just going to stand there with a slice of pizza in her mouth for a while, staring at utter disbelief and a healthy amount of amusement.

"They just don't know what to do next, do they? Or they do, and they are all terrible ideas."

"This looks like a rare case of 'they' not being the issue," Gert said dryly. "It's this idiot for not having basic observation skills."

Emily was going to operate under the impression that one single awkward conversation was no basis to stop talking to people. That and she had nothing better to do.

"Idiots filming bigger idiots? Although it's probably set up, like half of the reality shows out there."

"I wouldn't put it past network executives to sic a zombie attack on someone who looked like they'd have a good TV presence for a show," Gert had to admit. "Problem is, this guy's boring as crap. If they were going to set it up, they would've picked someone better."
