Saturday was a good kind of day to bake cookies! Especially when it was chilly outside. Because that only made the cookies extra-delicious

Hank had followed his nose, and things like "hello, who are you?" were much less important than, say, cookies.

"I call dibs!!!"

"Hmm... it sounds like there might be someone around here who wants a cookie."

Maaaybe?

"Well, tell him I called dibs!!!!!"

Those cookies were Hank's. He saw them first.

"Dibs?" Rapunzel didn't know that one.

[i_am_the_rat]

"You can't call dibs!!! I called dibs first!!!" Hank pouted and stomped his feet. "I want my cookies!!!"

"Oh, you want some cookies?" Rapunzel grinned. "I think there are enough for to share."

"Oh, GOOD!!!" Hank replied excitedly. "...But then why were you calling dibs?"

"What are dibs?" And she didn't remember calling them.

[i_am_the_rat]

"Dibs aren't anything," Hank chuckled. "It's something you say that means you get to have something 'cause you called it first."

"Oh! And you called dibs." Aha! Now she understood.

"YUP!!!" Hank agreed, pleased that she understood. "It's like 'shotgun', but for FOOD!!!"

"Shotgun?"

Hank stared at her. "You can't call shotgun NOW," he pointed out. "We're not in a car!"

"What do cars have to do with shotguns?"

"Huh. I don't know? I mean, I've never seen a shotgun in a car..."
