Fifth Floor Common Room, Wednesday Evening

Toby had just gone to get a little dinner for himself, but apparently the Chinese food place was in the middle of a 5-for-1 special. Which, well. He wasn't gonna turn down free food, but now he had entirely too much. Bruce was just returning from several hours in the cave building his computer system from scratch, so food - if it was being shared - smelled like a good idea.

"Evening. What's on tonight?" Bruce asked, taking a glance at the spare Chinese.

Bruce grabbed the flying cookie, cracked it open, and took the fortune out. "'Accept the next proposition you hear,'" Bruce read. "That seems like dangerous advice to give randomly."

"Especially if that's gonna encourage someone to ask you to do something dangerous or illegal," Toby pointed out. Not that Bruce seemed the type to follow a fortune cookie's directions without question.

"I can't say I'm too disappointed by that," Toby admitted. Just 'cause he'd done his own stint in juvie didn't mean he felt any sort of solidarity with anyone else who'd ended up there.
