Fifth Floor Common Room, Wednesday Evening

Toby had just gone to get a little dinner for himself, but apparently the Chinese food place was in the middle of a 5-for-1 special. Which, well. He wasn't gonna turn down free food, but now he had entirely too much. Hence, common room, in hopes that he might be able to foist off some of this food instead of letting it go to waste

This wasn't Hanna's floor, but there were people there. So she was there. "Is that Spirit Speaker?"

"And Chinese food," Stephanie said helpfully. "Am I the only one who doesn't know this show so far?"

[new_it_girl]

"Maybe? I used to watch it...like five years ago," Hanna told her.

[batwaffles]

"Clearly, I've been missing something." Stephanie perched on the arm of the couch and proceeded to flop over onto her back, feet up in the air. "Whether I've been missing anything is still up for debate, seeing as it's the first time I've seen it."

Hey, Steph, manners.

"Hi, by the way."

"Hey, I'm Hanna," she said, introducing herself. "And it's an okay show. Kinda cheesy, but not too bad. Sometimes cheesy can be entertaining."

[batwaffles]

"Stephanie," she replied, sticking a hand out -- then wiping it off on her pants before sticking it out again. Yay greasy food. "And I am never one to dispute the dubious entertainment value of cheese."

She paused. "I mean, I have occasionally entertained the notion that it would be neat if they televised that weird British cheese-rolling thing, but in general I meant the non-literal kind of cheese."

Hanna accepted, shaking her hand. "I think I've seen that cheese-rolling thing mentioned on the news a few times. Seems pretty hilarious."

[batwaffles]

"It looks like fun, actually," Stephanie mused, laughing. "Barring the astronomical likelihood of broken bones."

[new_it_girl]

"Yeah, it looks painful. I wouldn't want to take part in it, but it's always fun to watch people do crazy things like that," Hanna said. "But yeah, broken bones seem very likely."

[batwaffles]

"Wonder if we could get someone to program the Danger Shop to do that?" Stephanie remarked, looking like she'd just gotten the best idea ever. "All the heart-pounding thrills, none of the fractures."

[new_it_girl]

"That would be awesome," Hanna agreed. "This should be, like, the next big school event. Pain free cheese-rolling."

[batwaffles]

"I would totally get behind that," Stephanie exclaimed. "Who do we know on Student Council who we can talk to about this?"

[new_it_girl]

"I know Petra and Rilla and..." She glanced at Toby. "Isn't he on Student Council."

[batwaffles]

"Ooo!" Stephanie snapped her fingers. "Good thinking."

Oops, she should've known that. Knowing your local government representatives was kind of important in her line of work . . .

"According to the TV Guide," Toby nodded. "It hasn't been made yet where I'm from, so it's still new to me."

"I think the show is no longer airing in this time, except in repeats. I stopped following it a few years ago" Hanna said, eying the Chinese food cartons. "Is that for anyone?"
