So, Ramona and Tony had had a bet. Or a dare. Whatever, same kind of thing. It had taken her entirely too long, but she had washed the dye out of her hair, and actually added a nice little brown sheen to it, but nevertheless, it was her natural color

Bruce just had a hunch as he was heading up the stairs. It just seemed like there would be something worthwhile in the second floor common room tonight.

He noticed the hair colors immediately. "Good evening. What's on?"

He was going to play it like that, yes.

"That show with the singing," Ramona said, also completely acting like nothing was different. "It's Justin Bieber night. I'm not entirely sure I can afford the brain cells I'm losing, but it's a risk I'm willing to take at the moment."

"And Tony has some to spare, right?" Bruce asked, giving a smirk. "You're cruel."

"Only a little, and only sometimes. And yes, if I need to borrow some of Tony's brain cells, I'm sure he'd let me borrow them," she assured him. "Especially since I helped him out so much already."

"You had something to do with that? I'm stunned," Bruce said, looking totally surprised, really.

"There might have been a deal worked out," she admitted demurely. "I think it's a flattering color on him."

"It definitely could have been worse," Bruce said. "I think he'll be relatively safe from pointing and laughing."

"The other end of the deal was seeing you with a normal hair color?"

[dabblinginbitch]

She nodded. "He foolishly let me choose what color he got to wear," she added with a smile. "But yeah, the deal was that I have to be a brunette as long as he puts up with the fuchsia. So...I'm guessing inside of a week, personally."

"He told me that he wasn't the businessman in the family. I guess this proves him right," Bruce said. "I'll be generous and give him until Friday. But I think it's getting changed sooner than that."

"Oh, god, no, his negotiating skills are terrible," Ramona agreed. "I barely had to talk him into it. It's not that bad, though! And I keep telling him it looks nice. I don't think he believes me, though."

"I'm just not sure it's him. I think blue would have been better," Bruce said with confidence. "But I will admit, I'm not the hair color expert around here."

Yet. He'd master that eventually, too.

"Well, this agreement was made at the dance," she admitted. "I had pink on the brain."

Since that'd been her color of choice on that day. See? Puns.

That actually reminded Bruce of something. "Oh speaking of that, I got your flower. Thank you for that. I wasn't expecting it."

"You're welcome," she said, shrugging. "It seemed like fun to send them. I mean, it's trendy to hate Valentine's Day, but I actually kind of like it. Don't tell anyone."

"Your secret's safe with me," Bruce promised. "I don't mind it, personally. If I have someone to spend it with, great. If not, then I don't get in trouble for sending flowers to other girls. It's a no-lose proposition."

Tony peered over to make sure Bruce didn't have a camera with him. "Nothing much."
