Fifth Floor Common Room; Friday Evening [ 01/07 ].

So Ariel's plans didn't turn out quite as she would have liked. Raven was appearing to have a bad day, but she still really wanted to have pizza, inspired by earlier with her idea, and, though it didn't have the privacy of her room like she was sort of thinking would be nice, she still could (try to, anyway) invite Chuck to come have some with her

Caroline was so having a night after that message from Nathan earlier and not being able to get anything but Ric's machine. The smell of pizza called to her and she barely managed to wave at the people in the room before grabbing a slice and inhaling the soothing scent of greasy cheese. Almost as good as blood.

"I take it you like pizza?" Ariel asked with a faint smirk at watching the girl from the picnic relishing in it. "Or at least the scent, anyway."

"I like food," Caroline told her, realizing how strange she must look. "Uh, this was for everyone, right? I mean, my si--Jack told me people feed others in common rooms?" She took a bite before Ariel could say not to since no one would take back partially eaten food. Right?

"Totally for everyone," Ariel said with a nod, although she could have been silly and told her no and made her spit it out. "I can't eat all this by myself."

Caroline smiled as she chewed. "Great because I'm starving. Do you always order so much?"

"No," Ariel shook her head, "but I figured, if you bring it, people will eat it. My plans kind of fell through a little bit, so I figured, hey, makeshift pizza party, right?"

"Smart thinking, because trust me, I will eat anything people bring up here." If she could shove it in her mouth, it helped with the cravings, especially when she was trying not to freak out. "Uh, especially since this is so not my floor. I'm glad there's no RA to try and boot me."

"...anything?" Ariel muttered curiously, mostly to herself, and looking thoughtful before she shook her head.

"Which floor are you on? Normally?"

"Fourth, but no sending me back where there's like, a box of donut holes and a carton of juice I don't trust because I think Nathan totally drank out of it without a cup the other day." Hmm, not exactly what Ariel had asked.

Though the thought had crossed her mind, Ariel decided not even she would be as interested in donut hole pizza.

She also had to stop and wonder if she'd...borrowed all the cups in the fourth floor common room and that's why there wasn't one.

"Nathan the new kid with the curly hair?" she guessed. Because there were so many other Nathans.

"With the accent and the attitude, yes." Caroline frowned, displeased with thoughts of him shaving at a piece of wood that he would use to end her days later. Ugh, nightmare. "He's my roommate and mostly a jerk."

"Really?" asked Ariel, sounding surprised. "I thought he was pretty nice."

Because you were bouncing at him, Ariel.

Caroline lifted her eyebrow. No way Nathan saved his skeeving just for her. "He didn't offer to show you things in his pants? Or tell you he had some horrible cancer where the only cure was you taking off your top?"

"Ummm, nope," Ariel said, shaking her head and eying Caroline a little oddly. "He just said he liked my enthusiasm and asked for a welcome hug."

Oh Lord. "And you hugged him? And bounced?" So, so gross.

"Well, I couldn't really help the bouncing," Ariel offered.

In fact, she was almost doing a little bit of it right now.
