Main Campfire [evening]

After trying marshmallows the day prior, Katniss was drawn to the main campfire again tonight -- this time, with food of her own in tow

"You need a stick with a forked branch at the end," he said, eying the pizza-and-fire combination. "Or a pan."

Yes, the city boy was offering campfire tips.

"Is this taken?" he asked about the log sitting nearby.

"Yes. By all the invisible people," she replied, arching an eyebrow. Because really. As though she, of all people, needed campfire tips. She had figured that out already, thank you.

[squire_hand]

"Oh, then--ah. Very funny." He sat anyway, invisible people or no.

He matched her eyebrow. He added a nod towards the fire and the non-standard-campfire fare. "Why?" he asked simply.

"Because I wanted to try," she replied simply. "Why not?"

[theotherpeter]

"You're not planning on trying to roast that fruit pie, are you?" Peter asked, more sort of curious than accusatory. It'd be interesting to see what would happen, at least.

[thegirl_onfire]

She paused, eyeing the pie. "I was more considering trying to wrap it and put it at the base of the fire to heat it," Katniss said thoughtfully.

"That's actually a fairly decent idea," Peter said. "What kind is it, anyway?" He tilted his head.

And then he remembered his manner. "Nice seeing you again, by the way."

"Strawberry," she replied. "We don't usually get them at home, unless we find them wild. Seemed appealing. And, er -- you too."

It was the reply Effie would have wanted her to give. Or at least the Katniss version of the reply Effie would have liked.

"Do you terribly mind sharing?" Rilla asked as she approached the fire. "Whatever you're making smells so interesting."

[thegirl_onfire]

"By all means," Katniss assured her. "I won't be able to eat it all, as much as I want to."

[rilla_myrilla]

"What's your favorite so far?" Rilla asked, peering at the pile of food.

[thegirl_onfire]

Katniss immediately grabbed the Twinkies. "These and the tiny cakes," she said, nodding to the cupcakes. "But they don't need to be cooked."

Azula went to the campfire there was food there and she was a little hungry. "Good evening."

"Hello," Katniss said politely, as she toasted a piece of carrot curiously.

"Are the marshmallows for sharing?" She asked. She liked the marshmallows Momoko introduced to her.

[thegirl_onfire]

"I wish I could eat them all myself, but I can't, so yes," Katniss replied, holding out the bag.
